UHPC for people- The RDC Blog

Monday, 04 September 2017 by Juan Ángel López

This blog was born with the idea to foster the use of new concrete technologies on architectural, civil engineering and industrial applications, i.e. to foster innovation in concrete. Lack of confindence, education and training on these innovative technologies on the part of engineers and architects are probably the main barriers these new materials must overcome to achieve that. These are the barriers we want to help remove using one single tool: knowledge. More specifically, this blog is focused on a special type of concrete which combines the newest technologies developed for concrete: the so-called Ultra-High-Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPC). In this first post of our blog you can find the motivation for this project as well as the different sections we have chosen to share our knowledge in this field. We hope you find it interesting.
